Lifestyle Vacations’ French ceramics collection features the original handmade porcelains created by Mrs Monique Le Goff whose long list of accomplishments includes a forty-year experience in the ceramic work of art. Monique lives in Sèvres, a quaint little town on the outskirts of Paris on the way to Versailles. Sèvres is internationally known for its fine ceramics and luxury porcelain. The Manufacture of Porcelain (originally in Vincennes) moved to Sèvres in 1756 at the instigation of King Louis XV and his favorite Madame de Pompadour who lived in her Chateau of Bellevue on the heights of Sèvres.
Each porcelain featured in Lifestyle Vacations’ online store is unique. Each one has been created and handmade by Monique Le Goff in her private workshop in Sèvres.

For a better understanding… Ceramic is made from clay that has been heated to very high temperature and hardened (it can be made from a variety of clay types and colors and can be painted before being fired). Porcelain is made from clay that has been baked and hardened. It’s a type of ceramic, but its clay makes it denser and more durable.
